Black Canyon Coffee in Myanmar
69 items on the local menu, priced in MMK.
A note on the exchange rate. MMK figures here are converted at the parallel market rate of 4,350 MMK to the US dollar, not the official rate a currency converter will quote you. The Central Bank pegs the kyat at 2,100 and every mainstream feed reports that peg, but it is not a rate anyone transacts at. Rates have diverged since 2021. Converting at the peg put Myanmar above the United Kingdom as one of the dearest markets on the site, for a Yangon coffee costing about two dollars. How we handle rates.
Black Canyon Coffee in Myanmar
Black Canyon reached Myanmar through the same Thai franchise network that supplies its Cambodian and Lao stores. The brand's coffee-house-with-a-full-menu format transfers well to Yangon, where a chain restaurant is an occasion and customers expect to sit rather than take away.
That expectation matters commercially. A format designed around a twenty-minute coffee would struggle to justify mall rent here; one that can hold a table through a full meal has a much better chance.
Menus lean on the Thai dishes that define the brand across the region, which in Myanmar sit as a recognisable neighbouring cuisine rather than a foreign import.
Store counts here have been volatile and we do not publish one. We hold no priced Burmese menu either - See Black Canyon Coffee in Thailand.

About Black Canyon Coffee
From Bangkok Beginnings to a Global Blend
In 1993, Black Canyon Coffee opened its first store in Bangkok, Thailand, founded by Pravit Chitnarapong. With no prior experience in the coffee or food service industry, the founders ventured into this new territory, aiming to offer high-quality coffee and Thai cuisine. Over the next decade, the brand expanded rapidly, growing from a single location to 78 outlets by 2003, becoming the largest chain of coffee houses in Thailand. The company's growth was fueled by its commitment to quality and its unique combination of coffee and Thai food offerings.
A Culinary Journey Through Thai Flavors
Black Canyon Coffee's menu is a celebration of Thai cuisine, offering a diverse range of dishes that cater to various palates. Signature dishes include the spicy and aromatic Tom Yum Goong, the savory Pad Thai, and the flavorful Green Curry. Complementing these dishes is a selection of beverages, from robust hot coffees to refreshing iced teas and smoothies. The brand's emphasis on authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients ensures a memorable dining experience for every guest.
Cultivating Community Connections
Beyond its culinary offerings, Black Canyon Coffee is deeply rooted in community engagement. The company has expanded its presence through joint ventures, establishing branches in countries like Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. This approach allows for local partnerships and a better understanding of regional markets. Additionally, Black Canyon Coffee invests in training programs for baristas and chefs, ensuring consistent quality and service across all locations. By fostering local collaborations and emphasizing employee development, the brand strengthens its ties to the communities it serves.
